What We Took Away from Our Visit to PestEx 2026

This week, we had the pleasure of visiting PestEx 2026 at ExCeL London, one of the biggest dates in the pest management calendar. Held on 18 and 19 March and organised by the British Pest Control Association (of which we are certified member), the event brought together pest professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and industry experts from across the UK and beyond. With over 100 suppliers and thousands of visitors attending, it was a fantastic opportunity to see what is shaping the future of pest control.
For us, PestEx is always valuable because it gives us the chance to step away from the day-to-day running of jobs and spend time looking at the wider industry. It is one thing to keep up with developments online or through trade publications, but it is another to speak directly with exhibitors, watch demonstrations and hear from leading voices in pest management all in one place.
One of the standout parts of the visit was seeing the breadth of innovation on display. From monitoring and detection technology to application equipment, proofing products and treatment solutions, there was a real sense that the industry is continuing to evolve. The exhibitor line-up covered a wide range of specialist suppliers, reflecting just how much choice and expertise is now available to pest control businesses looking to improve service standards and efficiency.
Another major highlight was the seminar programme. PestEx 2026 featured a strong Technical Theatre line-up, with talks covering topics such as integrated pest management, sustainability, bird control, employment law, qualifications, insect identification, rodent behaviour and strategic cockroach control. Events like this are a useful reminder that good pest control is not only about products and treatments, but also about knowledge, training, compliance and raising standards across the sector.
What stood out most was the continued focus on professionalism. Whether it was conversations around best practice, smarter inspection methods, non-chemical approaches, documentation or future skills in the industry, the message was clear: clients expect more, and rightly so. Pest control is increasingly about delivering reassurance, transparency and long-term solutions, rather than simply offering a quick fix.
That focus aligns strongly with how we work. Visiting PestEx helps us reflect on how we can keep improving the service we offer our own customers. It is important for us to stay informed about new products, changing expectations and emerging ideas, so that we can continue to deliver safe, effective and responsible pest control for homes and businesses.
Events like PestEx also reinforce the value of relationships within the industry. It was great to meet exhibitors, catch up with familiar faces and have conversations with people who are equally committed to high standards in pest management. These discussions often prove just as useful as the formal sessions, because they give insight into the practical challenges businesses are facing and the solutions that are working on the ground.
Overall, our visit to PestEx 2026 was time very well spent. We came away with fresh ideas, useful conversations and renewed confidence in the direction the industry is heading. As always, our goal is to bring that learning back into the way we support our customers every day.
